Facilities and technical equipment

The working group has a well-equipped pilot plant with all required ancillary rooms such as storage rooms and laboratories at its disposal. It is therefore possible to carry out most unit operations and processes used in food production in a semi-technical scale. The pilot plant is in a large part used for intern research activites and research project in cooperations with companies. Beyond that, the facilites are of great importance for educational purposes as part of the practical courses "Food Processing Technology" and "Process Engineering", as well as for research purposes within diploma theses and dissertations.
